@spendergrsec apologies as this is well outside my area of expertise - is the exploiting process being able to call a (presumably suid) process a necessary part of the exploit, or just to make it easier to generate the race? i.e. can this method try to read from files ANY arbitary process has?

@Salamandar3500 @dtoxmilenko@evilsocket I think the issue is that even if "cups.service" is not enabled e.g. "cups.socket" and "cups.path" often /ARE/, meaning as soon as someone tries to use cups, the service starts
