I had the opportunity to present the work of the Adolescent SRH Unit to the @UNFPA ED & UN Under-Secretary General @Atayeshe the other day. In summary: 1. Anxiety: she’s coming
2. Reality: she’s listening
3. Perished: breathlessness
4. Resurrection: over-smiling
"I pray that more opportunities will be created for young people to meet their full potential".

@ohsnii 😂😂😂 why can’t everyone just hold on to what they have and look forward? Unless you put you tattoo your PhD or NL passport on your forehead and walk around, nobody cares chale.
@ohsnii There are genuine people who do it with good intentions and there are those who do it because “oh look at me, I’m better now”. To me, these are all part of why the colonizers continue to belittle us. We’re focused on romanticizing what they have than fixing us.
@ohsnii There are pros and cons oo, Niyi. You can have 100 foreign passports but you’ll ALWAYS be from that race that’s at the bottom of the chain. Africans living abroad are not always entirely honest about their experiences but that’s a whole different story for another day
@ohsnii 😂 true but I understand him. PhD is hella hard work so if I’ve put in all that work and someone comes to belittle it just because they got a foreign passport, it will probably rub me wrong. Benefit from your passport and let me struggle with my PhD. Let everybody dey ein dey 🤷🏽♀️
@ohsnii Case in point: PhD vs NL passport. What’s the need in making a video about getting a foreign passport and how that makes you better? People forget about individual & external factors. Not everyone wants a PhD just like not everyone wants a foreign passport 🤷🏽♀️
@ohsnii Not a single doubt about that. But when you relocate for survival, don’t make it seem like you’re better off than others. Our major problem (Africans in general) is thinking that we’re better once we make it out of the “system”. Personally, that’s what irks me the most!
@ohsnii They make us think education isn’t important but that same education made them the “political class”, no? At end, you aa you don’t have good education, you too aa you no get money aka class. In all of this though, let’s not forget to ask: who makes them the political class?
@ohsnii If we keep letting the frustration get to us, the cycle will only keep repeating and the masses will forever be the masses and the political class will forever be the political class.
@ohsnii@chrisatadika Not 3 weeks geng 💀😂😂 but that’s the truth. I don’t blame either side of this argument because if we had a fair and worthy society, Ghanaians wouldn’t be romanticizing other passports
@ohsnii@chrisatadika People also forget that some “PhDs” are even fake because they’re conferred by non-accrediting institutions. There was a post on LinkedIn calling out people recently.
