Naseem Shah has been fined Rs 2 crore for a post that was reportedly shared by his social media advisor (who has already been terminated). The post was deleted almost immediately and an unconditional apology was tendered to the disciplinary committee. Therefore, imposing such a heavy fine that is nearly equivalent to his annual central contract salary is both disproportionate and unjust. Fines should serve as a deterrent, not as a means to teach a lesson.

I have been in Dubai for about a week now and have experienced this war situation very closely.

There is no doubt that the UAE authorities have done an exceptional job in managing an extremely difficult situation.

The results are evident. While people are understandably concerned, I have not seen any sense of panic whatsoever.

Over the past two days I visited some of the largest malls in Dubai and they continue to function normally. Yes, footfall is lower than usual, but life is largely going on as it should.

Once this war is over, Dubai will remain an attractive destination for many.

The lifestyle it offers, combined with the extraordinary systems and infrastructure the authorities have built to facilitate residents and businesses, gives it a resilience that is often underestimated.

For context, I do not own any property in Dubai, so this observation comes without any personal stake.

UAE will pass this test, I am sure. Yes there will be a dip in the short term but Dubai real estate will come back stronger than before. I say that because the basic fundamentals remain which made Dubai s property market boom which is, 💯 ownership, easy transfer, great infrastructure, no crime and above all welcoming people.
I have seen some people writing off Dubai in 2008 financial crisis and then in Covid but Dubai real estate market has proven them all wrong and it will do the same now.
