I���ve said it before, but it bears repeating every time - I get to work with a group of incredibly talented and deeply dedicated artists who will stop at nothing until the sound comes into focus and becomes a picture. My pal @ThomasRhett and I are doing 2 stadium shows together this summer in Nashville and Hershey! Absolutely cannot wait to get back on stage and perform for you all. These are going to be incredible shows where we each play our own sets but also play together and do some special stuff.  

When TR brought up the idea of doing these, I immediately got so excited just thinking about it. We’ve been friends for ages and it just makes perfect sense. 

This is just the beginning of course. I’ll be doing a big long tour for the album but these shows are gonna get things started and be absolutely amazing.

Every song release is a big deal. This song has waited a long time to have its moment. I remember when Sara, Sam and I wrote Fragile (the same day we wrote another song called Madness), it held a special place in my soul as a human. So much so, that it kept disappearing from different projects as if to wait for the right moment to be introduced to the world. Being on Evergreen, song release number 3… it’s crazy how things work themselves out for the best when you trust the process.

I always wanted to change the lyrics of the first line because I was afraid it wouldn’t make sense. But the more I worked with it, the more personal it became, and the more truth it carried. I would tell you what it means to me, but I want to hear how all of you connect with it first, so I’ll just say this…

This one is for anyone in a season of life where the structure of you that you’ve built for the world needs to take a break and make space to care for the human inside. Whether you have those people, or that person in your life that loves and supports that human, or you’re looking forward to meeting that person someday, this is for you. You deserve to be the human you are, and you deserve to be loved and seen for that human. And if you haven’t felt it yet, I can’t wait for you to feel what it’s like to find someone who makes you feel safe enough to be Fragile.
