@LibrariesIre little idea I have, if anyone wants to send suggestions. Where are ireland's quirkiest, different libraries? Thinking of the restorations at Birr, Loughrea, Sixmilebridge, Moate. Old churches and courthouses repurposed beautifully. Any others?
@timjmb@KateGleeson1 Equally wrong. There aren't geographic bands of racism. Yes, it is all or none. A racist comment is always racist and entirely unacceptable
@KateGleeson1 The number of people using Irish user names and speaking hate, the most vitriolic of it at women is awful. The two have become almost inseparable. Is it that Irish speakers are filled with hate or those filled with hate think they appear more Irish hiding behind those usernames
@0Cuculainn@KateGleeson1 Nothing suggests the 1916 leaders were isolationist. JM Plunkett studied Arabic & wrote poetry in the language. J Connolly was Scottish born & his socialism was rooted in a global view. T Clarke was born on Isle of Wight. Anti imperialism doesn't = ethno state, whatever that is
@DrowningGenX@angelwakingup2@TheLiberal_ie In no way whatsoever do I defend any person who commits rape or murder. I condemn any act of violence, regardless of who commits it, what their skin colour is, their religion, their ethnicity. Rape or murder are not crimes unique to migrant communities.
