HUGE thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who came out on March 26th to help clean up Sheldon Creek!

With your help, we were able to clean up 40 bags of garbage, 20 tires, 4 batteries, and an estimated 800 kg of scrap metal, if not more!

Ever wondered what these ❌'s mean? It means the tree has been compromised by invasive species, disease or age, the tree is within striking distance of a trail, building or other assets, and needs to be cut down, safely, so that it doesn't hurt anyone or damage anything. 🌳🌳

Our erosion control project this weekend on Appleby Creek was a success! Old Christmas trees used to stabilize the bank and catch sediment for fill. Thank you to great project management, our amazing volunteers and the @cityburlington and @RegionofHalton.
