A BIG shoutout to William Holcomb, our Zoning Enforcement Planner from the Building and Neighborhood Services team!
William recently visited the 3rd grade STEAM program at @franklinspecial Johnson Elementary School to share insights on how to prepare homes for extreme weather, with a focus on flooding preparedness and floodplain mitigation. The students had been hard at work researching, planning, and building model homes designed to withstand tough conditions.
William provided valuable feedback on their impressive creations, helping these young minds connect classroom learning to real-world challenges. We love seeing the next generation of innovators in action!
Great job to the students and thank you, William, for investing in our future leaders!
