FSD is proud to celebrate the incredible impact our school communities made through this year’s @American_Heart's Kids Heart Challenge! Thanks to the students, families, staff, and supporters at our 5 elementary schools, together we raised more than $48,000 to help save lives!

Our seventh grade scientists have been hard at work this week diving into hands-on learning through earthworm dissection!Students explored anatomy, body systems, and the important role earthworms play in our ecosystem.
Celia Gibson, a @fssdFIS 6th-grader was recognized as the FSD Student Artist of the Month during tonight’s School Board meeting. The Board celebrated her expressive abstract artwork and creative exploration of color and texture.
Congratulations to @fssdPGMS 7th-grader Max Perkins, who was recognized tonight by the FSD School Board for advancing to the national semifinal round of the @MottMillion Challenge with his invention, The Smart Pot, designed to take the guesswork out of watering plants.
Max- we couldn’t be more proud of you and all that you have accomplished! Your innovative approach to keeping plants watered is incredibly impressive, and we can’t wait to see which entrepreneur award or scholarship you earn next. The future is bright for you!

Our new facility dog, Ren, has graduated from her training program and will officially join the FSD Facility Dog Pack on May the 4th! We are so grateful, the force is strong with Ren! We are looking forward to having her working with our students, parents, and faculty!
