كيف ستكمل يومك حين تسمع أن أبًا من عْزة، عالقًا تحت الأنقاض، كان يطلب من المسعفين ألّا ينقذوه؟

ليس يأسًا من الحياة، بل لأنه كان يسمع أنفاس بناته الأخيرة تحت الركام. كانت أيديهن الصغيرة تمسك بيده في العتمة، كأنهنّ يستنجدن به للمرة الأخيرة، وهو الأب الذي اعتاد أن يكون ملاذهن الآمن، عاجزًا هذه المرة عن انتشالهن من بين التراب والحجارة.

لم يكن ظاهرًا من جسده سوى رأسه، يحدّق في وجوه المسعفين بعينين أنهكهما الخوف والعجز، ويقول لهم: "اتركوني.. بناتي هنا.. لا أريد أن أخرج وحدي"

أيُّ قلبٍ يحتمل هذا المشهد؟ أيُّ لغةٍ تستطيع أن تصف شعور أبٍ يدرك أنه يفقد بناته واحدة تلو الأخرى، بينما يظل ممسكًا بأيديهن حتى تبرد، دون أن يملك لهنّ نجدةً أو حضنًا أخيرًا؟

كيف سيمر يومك بعد أن تعرف هذه الحكاية؟ كيف ستجلس إلى مائدتك مطمئنًا، أو تضحك لشيءٍ عابر، وأنت تعلم أن هناك أبًا كانت أمنيته الأخيرة ألا ينجو وحيدًا؟

ويبقى السؤال الذي يطارد الضمير الإنساني..
كم من الألم يحتاج العالم ليسمع صرخة أبٍ واحد هناك؟!
