Nothing left in the desert of Morocco but some mysterious trails in the sand.
Now it's time for analysing the tons of data that we gathered during the trials. TBC...
After two weeks in the desert it's time for packing. #SherpaTT get's into it's box and hopefully the transporter doesn't brake until it reaches our container.
Mission accomplished! More than 15 scientific experiments and data collection tasks were completed successfully. This includes the long distance traverse, where guided by the #ERGO software, #SherpaTT covered more than 1,3km autonomously. (Image by #AirbusintheUK)
What does it take to validate a new software in the Moroccan desert? A talented and enthusiastic #team - and a couple of clever rovers!
Here is the hardworking #InFuse#team after a long day of testing on "Mars" 👽🤖

Approaching the long distance traverse goal. On the first demonstration day we showed a fully autonomous 200m traverse and gave insights into the software to the @EU_H2020 and #PERASPERA representatives.
The PERASPERA project (https://t.co/Gj7Q91wdZU) with representatives from @esa@ASI_spazio @CDTIoficial @CNES@DLR_en@UKspace visited the camp today to watch the field trials and see #SherpaTT with software from ERGO and @H2020Infuse at work.
To obtain detailed Digital Elevation Models (#DEMs) from the test site, @esa supported us with a #drone. It was able to create aerial photos and digital maps of our test site with a resolution of 10x10cm and better in no time.
