One of the unfortunate things about the Harris campaign was the constant wall of attacks on Trump - especially since every American is already aware of who he is. All the negativity was dispiriting. What we are against” is not a higher energy, but “what we are for” absolutely is.

Going forward that is what we need to do. The American story is one of the grandest in history, filled with some of the best things humanity has done and also some of the worst things humanity has done. Every generation gets to determine what it stands for, this is our time, and we can choose to stand for the very best things humanity is capable of.

You don’t have to be running for office to put great ideas into the field of public conversation. Let’s paint a picture for ourselves of a healed and whole humanity. Werner, Ehrhardt said “we can live out of circumstances, or we can live out of a vision.” The power of ideas is the greatest power of all. Let’s begin to envision the world we want.
