Today, on the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children, we mourn the millions of sons and daughters whose lives ended before birth. They had no voice in the decision that ended their lives. Their lives had value, dignity, and meaning. We remember them. We grieve them. And we renew our commitment to build a nation where every child, born and unborn, receives the protection and love he or she deserves. They will not be forgotten.

God didn’t save you to make much of you.

God saved you to make much of Christ.

You are not the hero of the story.

Your obedience isn’t the foundation of your salvation.

Your goodness isn’t the reason God chose you.

Your faith isn’t something you can boast about.

From beginning to end, salvation is the work of God.

The sinner gets the grace.
Christ gets the glory.

After watching the events unfold in our society of the last few weeks, I’ve never been more convinced that sin is our biggest problem and that Jesus is the only answer.

I am 100% certain that if I died tonight that I’d be in heaven with my Savior. I’m sure of this because of what He did—He lived a perfect life of obedience to the law, and on the cross He paid for every sin I’ve ever committed or will ever commit.

Because my faith is in His work, and not in any works of my own, His righteousness has been imputed to me. I’m so thankful that I can rest in what He’s done, and that I’m freed from the burden of sin, and from the burden of the law.

If we are now performing open-heart surgery on babies in the womb, then they are certainly PATIENTS. All patients have rights, and abortion seeks to intentionally kill my patients.
