FTH

A fanworks auction to benefit organizations serving oppressed populations and promoting human rights.

[FTH @FTHAuction]

‼️ We're making our X account inactive until further notice - to keep up with the auction this year (bidding closes Sat 1st!) and in future, please follow our main account on tumblr: https://t.co/J2wopHbBaS

@FTHKPOP will remain active with auction updates (and a focus on K-pop!)

[FTH @FTHAuction]

We broke all kinds of records, with 30% more auctions than we've ever offered before! It brings our grand total raised since 2017 to $305,278.76 - all because of fandom.

[FTH @FTHAuction]

This grand total includes our first TWO organizations to receive over $10,000 from us in one year - the Middle East Children's Alliance and Sherlock's Homes!

[FTH @FTHAuction]

Bidding is CLOSED! Sit tight, we will be contacting all creators and high bidders within the next 24 hours! Thank you all SO much for this record-shattering auction!

[FTH @FTHAuction]

Creators, if you find a mistake on your auction page please use the edit form we emailed to you!

[FTH @FTHAuction]

Bidding runs until 8pm EST Sunday, March 5!

[FTH @FTHAuction]

Fandoms that are already on our radar include OFMD, Kinnporsche, Bad Buddy, Goncharov, Interview with the Vampire, and Between Us. What else is out there?

[FTH @FTHAuction]

Is there a new (or revived) fandom you’d like to see on our 2023 dropdown? Let us know! (You can always write in any fandom we miss.)

[FTH @FTHAuction]

Quick reminder: please do not use the language of “commission” when talking about fanworks you create (or which are gifted to you) through FTH! Explanation below:

[FTH @FTHAuction]

PSA: Please do not use the language of commission in reference to your FTH offerings. You’re creating a fanwork in exchange for a donation to a cause, not taking payment for a fanwork. This is a vital distinction, because taking payment for fanworks is legally dicey at best. 1/2

[FTH @FTHAuction]

Are you ready to find out just how completely we blew our old records out of the water? We'll be announcing the 2022 FTH donation totals at 5pm EST - in just under a half an hour!

[FTH @FTHAuction]

@bananangtan_ Please email us!

[FTH @FTHAuction]

@saintscully2 Thank you, we’re so glad it’s been a good experience for you!

[FTH @FTHAuction]

BOUNCING BIDDER EMAILS: We have four bidders whose email addresses are bouncing! If you or anyone you know bid on an auction using the username sd, Cmore, joey, or sam, please get in touch with us! We cannot process your auctions if we can't email you!

[FTH @FTHAuction]

And bidding is closed!

As a reminder, we will be emailing all high bidders and all creators who received bids within the next 24 hours - please do not do anything until you hear from us!

Thank you all so much!

[syllo-soyuz joint mission @tiltedsyllogism]

I made a whole-ass roundup of all of the f/f Witcher offers for @fthauction this year. Check it out! I am sort of boggled by the riches on offer here. https://t.co/QPPgtPVxTP

[FTH @FTHAuction]

Quick reminder: The fanworks created for FTH are *gifts* to thank your bidder for donating to a good cause. Using language like "commission," "buy," or "sell," aside from possibly getting your work removed from AO3, can muddy the waters & make people hesitant to participate!

Our K-pop outpost was kind enough to convert our Tumblr post with tips for FTH newbies into a twitter thread - check it out if you’re a first-time creator! (Repeat creators might learn something, too!)
