We signed our child care agreement with Saskatchewan just over 3 months ago.

Today, it is the first province to reach the goal of achieving a 50% on average reduction in child care fees.

This is great news for families across the province. #ELCC

Today’s agreement with Alberta will:
✅ Reduce child care fees to $10 a day by 2026;

✅ Create 42,500 new child care spaces among licensed not-for-profit, public & family-based child care providers; and,

✅ Make life more affordable for #AB families.

Had a very good conversation with @DMiliband on the political and humanitarian situation in #Afghanistan.

Canada is working closely with partners such as @RESCUEorg to provide support to Afghan refugees and to protect women and girls.
