Decided to pay the extra $ and do normal Netflix without ads. Last straw was traveling to a foreign country and not being able to straw the cheaper Netflix version online. ;)

<sigh> I knew what I was getting into when I stepped down to a cheaper monthly Netflix subscription with ads, but the annoying part is they appear to pop up without warning, ruining the mood. Oh well #firstworldproblems π
YES! Guess the original #CSI just needed a few years off the air so people could miss it. ;) If you count the 2-episode finale in Fall 2015 as Season 16 and view #CSIVegas as a continuation rather than a spin-off, you could say CSI is starting Season 19 next year. ;)
WOW is all I can say for Tom Cruise and Top Gun: Maverick. And 3-4 years ago people were laughing when hearing the sequel was being made (Cruise too old to be a fighter pilot, 36-year-gap too long for a sequel, etc.); Cruise gets the last laugh. ;)
TODAY - #TopGunMaverick smashes the ONE BILLION DOLLAR mark at the global #boxoffice! Latest totals thru SUN:
$521.7M domestic
$484.7M intl
$1.006B worldwide
A stunning achievement and an early 60th birthday gift for #TomCruise. His first ever billion dollar hit. #TopGun
Yes! #TopGunMaverick may be even better than the original movie back in β86, as crazy as it sounds. ;) Even pushing 60, #TomCruise remains one of most bankable leading men in Hollywood, looks like. ;)
@KeensReview Itβs half action/adventure, half rom-com. (Think βRomancing the Stoneβ nearly 40 years later) I doubt it would have reached the box office heights it did if they made it like, say, βWhile You Were Sleepingβ (a pure romantic comedy made during Sandraβs β90s rom-com heyday)
Still canβt believe the #SF49ers are 1 win away from the Super Bowl after starting the season 3-5. And with SoFi Stadium being virtually the Leviβs Stadium of SoCal fan-wise, we have a fair shot. ;) Go Niners! :)
Yes!!!!!!!! CSI: Vegas got renewed for a 2nd season. Very happy, given the original CSI had a too-abrupt finale in Fall 2015. (One could say, if you regard the spin-off as an extension of the original, that CSI got renewed for an 18th season ;) )
Loved this ending. :) And looks like (from the βcliffhangerβ at the end showing the serial killer with the weird handwriting) we just might have a renewal for #CSIVegas Season 2. :) Fingers crossed for a 2nd season; #CSI fans will be thrilled if it happens. :)
Welcome back #CSI(now called #CSIVegas), we missed you. Nice premiere episode! Great to see Sara Sidle again; look forward to seeing Gil Grissom in a full episode next week. :)
Congrats to Jimmy G. and the Niners for the season-opening win, but Coach Shanahan canβt be happy the way things went in the 4th quarter. They better clean up that sloppy defense and special teams toward gameβs end, my goodness. :-/ #SFvsDET
Well, Jimmy G. got the start today (#SFvsDET), but Kyle Shanahan is alternating Trey Lance in between plays, looks like. Unorthodox, but itβs working so far; Trey just threw a nice short TD pass. Weβll see how this works in the long run. ;)
Just 5 days before the season opener vs. the Lions, and Coach Kyle Shanahan *still* hasnβt announced the starting QB for the Niners yet (Jimmy G. or Trey Lance). I know the less the opponent knows the better, but this is getting ridiculous. ;)
MCU movies (first Black Widow, now Shang-Chi) to the rescue for curing the post-pandemic box office blues. ;) Hey, who said Labor Day Weekend was a βdead zoneβ to dump bad films? Not so with Shang-Chi. ;)
Smart move by WB, I think; gives people a choice, rather than unnecessarily risk their lives of being infected by COVID-19. Though I hope this precedent doesnβt suddenly cause movie theater chains like Cinemark, AMC, etc. to go out of business.
