George Washington never wrote a book. But as a schoolboy, he sat down and copied one out by hand.
110 Rules of Civility and Decent Behaviour.
The rules traced back to French Jesuits in the 1590s. The promising boy took them to heart and they shaped him the rest of his life.
"Show not yourself glad at the misfortune of another, though he were your enemy."
"Tis better to be alone than in bad company."
"Labour to keep alive in your breast that little spark of celestial fire called conscience."
Of course, some are less legendary, but probably still good to practice:
"Kill no vermin, or fleas, lice, ticks, in the sight of others."
"Run not in the streets, neither go too slowly, nor with mouth open."
Perhaps we would benefit from reading and practicing these today.
@WestHardinFan1 when you can stand up in the engine compartment, do a complete tune-up and oil change, reach everything, and ALL the plugs. And it runs great when you're done.
@PeterSchiff End the Iran war. Embrace EV and alternative energy. Disengage from China and restart US mfg capacity. Concentrate on own borders, cut defense appropriately. Treat our neighbors like good neighbors. GDP off to a good start?
Yesterday’s bond market selloff is a a ringing alarm bell about the future of the economy under Trump’s mismanagement.
Treasury bonds are the pillars of America’s economy. When they shake, the whole thing shakes. Traders are selling them off because they understand that Trump’s war and trade war are making things more expensive, and he’s pressuring the Fed to keep it from doing its job despite the rising inflation he’s creating. It’s triggering a lack of trust from the market—and a selloff.
Why’s he doing this? He’s risking the future of the economy itself to inject the economy with a temporary sugar high through the midterms for his political gain. What’s the consequence for us?
Everything is about to become a lot more expensive than it already is. Mike Rogers will say nothing because he’s corporate, corrupt, and a coward.

Fork for fighters to Russia? Interesting thing is Putin seems to be helping with former Soviet satellites. That route is mostly/all Muslim or Axis countries.
