Concerns Over KRA Intern Dismissals and Unethical Recruitment Practices
Hello Nyakundi,
I wish to bring to your attention a pressing issue at KRA. Imagine this: the current cohort of interns at KRA has served for two consecutive years, with some even extending to three years.
Despite the severe staffing gap that is impacting our ability to meet revenue targets, these interns are being dismissed at the end of their terms, come December 31, 2024.
Ironically, while these interns, who have been rigorously trained, are being let go, others with connections are being retained discreetly. How inhumane is it for the Authority to invest years of training in these individuals, only to discard them when opportunities arise? Instead, we end up with unprofessional hires, driven by greed rather than competence.
This issue needs public attention. Recently, KRAfaced legal challenges not because of unfair policies, but due to unethical recruitment practices that allegedly prioritized individuals from a specific tribe based on directives from higher powers.
If KRA had the audacity to recruit 1,400 Revenue Service Officers unethically, why is it so difficult to absorb 1,700 trained interns?
Who is calling the shots at KRA Human Resources? Appeals have been made by finance departments, heads of departments, and other stakeholders to retain these interns, yet HR has dismissed these requests outright.
It's painful to witness talented and trained young professionals walk away due to policies that prioritize favoritism over merit.
This matter deserves transparency and accountability. KRAโs HR department needs to act ethically and consider the years of dedication these interns have invested. Heaven is watching.

Quoted From Khutbah On 13th September 2024 by Sheikh Ali Hudhaify
It is the right of the Prophet that we love him and prioritize this love over everything else, this [love] includes obeying what he commanded us with, and avoiding what he prohibited.
It also includes believing in his teachings, and worshiping Allah ๏ only and according to His law. The Prophet said,
"None of you truly believes until I am more beloved to you than your father, your children, and everyone else."
(Reported by Bukhari and Muslim).
So, it would be considered disrespectful to the Prophet to engage in innovations, such as celebrating his birthday (Mawlid).

@moneyacademyKE Wrong move! Alot of youths are unemployed! Every yr each public university releases aprox 4000 graduates joining the job market. Waiting for a whole year without recruiting, does not make sense. By then new fresh graduates will join the already congested job market.
