We take note and take seriously the statement by Secretary Rubio @SecRubio . It would seem that the State Department is still in the nation-building business. It is difficult to understand how this is part of the new anti-globalist and America First policies advocated by President Trump @realDonaldTrump .

Nonetheless, the current crisis in BiH is neither of our making nor of our choosing. If we accept that a German bureaucrat and a handful of Ambassadors have the power to change international law, our Constitution and laws, then we accept the end of the Dayton Agreement and the end of the Republic of Srpska.

We will continue to fight for both. I have consistently offered to discuss a peaceful agreement that would ease tensions and end the current crisis, but that must be on the basis of the return to the rule of law, the end of the weaponization of the judiciary and BiH joint state institutions, as well as a quick end to foreign interference in our affairs.

Let me repeat clearly, the Republic of Srpska and I are committed to a peaceful and negotiated resolution of the current crisis initiated by Mr. Schmidt.
