Driver aggression at anyone on foot / bike feels like it's at an all-time. A driver at Yonge/Orchard View Blvd threatened to 'move me with his car' when I glared at him for rolling at me while I crossed. How is this the norm now? #VisionZero#walkto#torontodrivers
Today as a driver I full-stopped on a right turn to let pedestrians cross, and driver behind honked at me for waiting for pedestrians to fully exit the lane. Ffs. Even when I'm behind the wheel drivers in TO are infuriating #VisionZero
My chilly run & transit combo commute home ended with:
-driver not stopping for streetcar, almost hitting several of us exiting
-driver not stopping to turn right, almost hitting me + 1 other pedestrian
-driver not stopping at line, leaving very little crosswalk left to use

Yesterday I was running on sidewalk in daylight (not fast) and driver needed to make their left into a driveway so badly they did so when I was iust feet from it. I saw them last minute, hard stopped (almost fell doing so) and not even a nod from this jerk. #VisionZero
Summary from this morning's walk about the east end:
3 drivers couldn't wait for us to finish crossing before making their turns
1 driver didn't stop at flashing crosswalk w guard and almost ran down some children
Drivers - do better! #VisionZero#walkTO#torontodrivers
This level of aggression and general disdain directed at another f-ing person is not new to me, but it continues to be shocking each time it happens and why we loathe the Kingston/Queen/Eastern intersection.
Headed outside for a run & my first street crossing involved a d-bag in a SUV did not slow down at all for their red light, barely let me step out of the lane, and turned right without slowing down. ALL WHILE LOOKING RIGHT AT ME. #VisionZero#walkto#Torontodrivers

Love how the sidewalk is closed without any warning on King between Yonge & Bay. No signage, so you get to detour into a live lane. #walkto#VisionZero
Tonight's run commute: a good driver/bad driver post. Good driver full stops on their right turn to let me fully cross. Bad driver: burned right up to bumper of good driver and laid on the horn/flashed lights. I can't with these ppl. #walkTO#VisionZero#Torontodrivers
How is this the norm? How is it somehow not ok for me to want to fully cross, and if I stand up for that I get bullied? My earbuds blocked out the actual words but the anger from driver was pretty clear. How. Dare. I 😒
Yesterday:
Me crossing on the walk signal
Driver starts rolling (fairly quickly)towards me to turn right
I motion a "come on" gesture with my arms
Driver puts down pssgr window to yell at me

Today's wtf is a driver of a @cityoftoronto vehicle burning past the flashing lights of a stopped streetcar. The TTC driver had to lay on the horn to get the driver to stop 😒😒 #VisionZero#walkTo#ttc#Torontodrivers
Tonight's "seriously!?" moment was brought to us by a driver turning left, between those of us crossing the intersection, while looking down at their phone. 🤬 #VisionZero#walkTO#torontodrivers
The exception was a lovely human that was blocking the sidewalk while waiting to exit a parking lot, saw me coming and moved back. They got a big wave for this rare consideration.
Another run home, another handful of drivers rolling thru stop signs to make their turns WHILE I'M STILL CROSSING IN FRONT OF THEIR VEHICLE 🤦♀️#VisionZero#bikeTO#walkTO#torontorunning

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but we’re still in a pandemic.
It’s ok if you’re not yet comfortable in crowds.
It’s ok if you say no to things.
It’s ok if you feel anxious.
It’s ok if you need to rest.
Your feelings are valid. And don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.
