It was an emotional session in #Streatham recently staff member for Amy’s last day as Project Manager for #LeapingForwardForDementia.
The session saw participants painting their clay #wildlife models made at a previous session.
@heatherwolf Amazing! I had heard they were in Balham just before Christmas so wondered if they were still hanging around! If you are able to let me know the street/nearby landmark I might try looking for them tomorrow! Never seen them before 😍
Staff member Amy has been decorating her Christmas tree this year with common #frogs, common #toads and #dragonflies!
We would love to see your #amphibian and #reptile-inspired Christmas decorations if there are any out there!
We love these beautifully festive wreaths made by our #dementia friendly #WildTimes group.
Our groups continue to inspire us and show us that people living with dementia can still learn, create and express themselves, particularly in #outdoor spaces
@sccoopstreatham
Our #WildTimes#dementia friendly group in #Clapham has been enjoying some #pond dipping.
They found the usual suspects: pond snails, water louse & freshwater shrimps. The site is also home to many common frogs & toads.
@BandstandBeds
Our Monday 55+ & @froglifers Wild Times group had a fantastic afternoon with @ClaphamSociety’s Tom Jansz.
Tom led them on a walk around historical hotspots on the Common, including showing them the site of the allotments dug during World War 2.
Then back for tea and 🍰
Good news for newts! 🦎
We’re delighted to welcome @froglifers as our new habitat delivery partner to provide more ponds for #GreatCrestedNewts.

Thank you to Tom Jansz from @ClaphamSociety who took our #WildTimes group on a history tour of #ClaphamCommon. The group have lived in the area for decades and was fascinated to learn that parts of the common were turned into allotment plots during WW2 to feed the community.
Have you ever spotted a #MarshFrog?
They are non-native to the UK and can cause real problems for our native common #frogs and #newts by preying on them and passing on diseases.
These marsh frogs were spotted basking in the sunshine at WWT’s Wetland Centre in Barnes, London.
Froglife Thursday at #streathamcommon Rookery!
This week the #dementiafriendly@froglifers Wild Times crew bashed, mixed, sieved and bottled to create Conker Soap!
A fantastic fun, eco & affordable activity which everyone enjoyed!
With thanks as always to Amy for organising 💚
A Rooks eye view of #streathamcommon Rookery for #volunteers as they install a living roof
The living roof panels were donated by our friends at Brockwell Park then weeded by the @froglifers#dementiafriendly Wild Timers & installed by SCCOOP's Conservation volunteers #thankyou
Very busy Monday 55+ gardening session with @froglifers
Lots of hard working clearing beds by #ClaphanCommon’s depot, the back to the garden for tea and cake. And some freshly cooked padron peppers that were hot, hot 🥵
