This morning @Councillorsuzie kicked off the first meeting of City Hall's investigation into grooming gangs in London, an issue of key importance. Susan will continue to push for answers 👇
The Labour Government's policies are costing Westminster residents £100 million.
That's £100 million that could be spent on our streets, our services, and our communities — and Westminster's Conservative-led Council is holding them to account.

It's critical that Westminster's streets aren't clogged with dockless bikes. Following feedback from residents & businesses we've removed the virtual dockless bike bay on Agar Street which had become a focus for antisocial behaviour & rough sleeper litter. More action to follow!
Glad to hear this morning at Mayoral Question Time that @SadiqKhan will meet me to discuss Oxford Street - I'm writing to him today to fix that meeting. Just been interviewed by @simonharrisitv on standing up for Oxford Street - watch ITV London news tonight at 6pm for the latest
A great @CityWestminster tradition is annual council where the leader and New Lord Mayor are formally appointed. Amid fitting formality it was a pleasure to see @LM_Westminster Karen Scarborough take her seat - she will be a fantastic first citizen for Westminster!
Good to sit down with Katherine Gray from @myldn to talk about Oxford Street and more. I've written to @SadiqKhan office to confirm I'm happy to meet. Catch up with our interview here:

The planned pedestrianisation of Oxford Street leaves basic questions unanswered so I have written to @SadiqKhan suggesting a meeting. We need a scheme that delivers accessibility & works for businesses & residents - my view in today's Evening Standard:

Wishing all our Muslim residents a peaceful and blessed Eid al-Adha.
May this special time bring you joy, reflection, and community spirit. Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating across Westminster.
Deeply saddened by the news a young man has been killed on the streets of our city. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family.
@CityWestminster appreciates the grief & worry our community will be feeling, & we’ll do all we canworking with police to support residents.
We took immediate legal advice exactly as promised, but the advice was clear, that if action was to have been taken on a JR, it needed to have been taken some time ago. In other words, the failure of the previous Labour administration to seriously review all legal options was what has caused this first hurdle. We continue to look at other legal options to explore how we can thwart the mayor's plans. Attempts by Labour to now try and suggest we didn't move quickly enough after their capitulation to the Mayor, handing over the road without a fight, and failure to explore all legal avenues shows where the real issue was.
Perhaps a moment of humble reflection on the clear message that the residents of Westminster have sent you might be more appropriate. We however continue to stand up for the local people who showed clearly what they thought of Labour and are exploring other legal avenues.
That’s a good question and we have looked at that.
While it’s clear that improving traffic flow is the purpose of TfL’s ability to take in the road, they can essentially keep roads once they have them.
It’s another example of the Mayor using powers in ways that were never intended without any moral authority.
The Met Police is shrinking, and with devastating consequences for London.
Nearly 2,500 officers lost since 2024, recruitment slashed, and FOUR entire murder squads - disbanded...because murder's have fallen🤷
Abraham Badru's dad has known me since childhood. I spoke with him today. His family is still desperate for answers. Abraham did the right thing, and was badly let down.
They are right to ask the Mayor of London, "What has happened to our police?" 👇

Westminster Labour failed local people at every turn:
- They surrendered OS to Sadiq Khan.
- They voted down our fighting fund to challenge Sadiq Khan’s vanity project.
- And their collusion and capitulation has left it too late to legally challenge Sadiq Khan’s temu scheme via Judicial Review (the deadline for which was 26 May).
However we continue to explore all possible legal options to fight for local people and stand up where Westminster Labour failed
