To clarify - especially assuming it would take a considerable amount of draft capital (I can’t envision a world where Baltimore actually just lets him walk)
Don’t get me wrong - Lamar is an upgrade over Hurts.
Phenomenal talent.
Just unsure if I want to get into the Lamar thing for the latter half of his career.
“If the Eagles are still looking to upgrade at QB after this season, I could see Howie Roseman inserting himself into this Lamar [Jackson] situation in a big deal.“

For the “send Andrew Painter down” crowd, still looking who on this roster is a realistic option for that.
The #Phillies don’t have starting pitching depth in the minors.
Jalen Carter is doing everything at the Eagles mandatory mini camp, individual drills, 1on1s, just not the team drills, where he could possibly get hurt. Remember he is coming off shoulder injuries and I’m sure the Eagles wanna make sure he is 100% healthy and good to go for training camp and the season. The Eagles are usually cautious with guys coming off injuries at this time of year. I’m sure they wanna make sure their most important player on defense is ready for the season.
I mean, these guys have a right to the space they’re standing in as long as they’re not moving lol.
You can say it’s funny or whatever, but these are kind of obvious infractions.
it’s so funny watching these side by side because like what are Brunson and SGA doing lmao?
They’re not boxing out.
They’re not going for the ball.
They’re not running for the fast break.
They’re just standing and watching. 😭
It’s so true.
But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. His fastball is just SO flat. It’s one of the most lifeless 97-98mph pitches I’ve ever seen 😭
The @Phillies have the worst, most unprofessional broadcast in baseball. Two low IQ dopes, more interested in their embarrassing schtick than the game they’re supposed to be broadcasting. Tonight, they’ve outdone themselves with the absolute level of stupidity.
If the Eagles choices in the AJ Brown trade were to receive a 2027 2nd vs 2028 1st, they ABSOLUTELY made the correct decision. Plus - a 2027 pick is more likely to reflect the Patriots quality. 2028 is much more volatile, in a positive way.
The Padres never had the investment in Castellanos that the Phillies did, hence why they could pull the trigger so easily.
But imagine if his leash were so short in Philly.
Nick Castellanos last week on difference between Padres/Phillies: “The front office consistently asks me questions about how I see things, and when they talk to me, it’s straight — which is great, because then I know what's up.”
Today, the Padres front office DFA’d Castellanos.
