The SPD has over 120 unfilled officer positions. If we want to fill those vacancies, we have to take care of the officers we already have. As your mayor, I will fight to increase officer pay, modernize equipment/training, and provide the care & support they need to keep us safe.

The Highline is a really interesting linear park in New York but is already in place that is walkable for citizens so that makes sense. It’s possible for it to be a bikeable bridge but at what price tag?

We can incentivize fillling in the gaps with new homes at every level. When you have a mix of people of different incomes, you have an opportunity to improve our schools system and get more kids into neighborhood schools

Question 12: What will you do as mayor to make sure the city invests in affordable housing?

They are not privy to homestead exemption and we get alot of revenue from that. We need mixed income, mixed use communities throughout this city- neighborhoods that are walkable, bike-able, and safe for children.

While looking at the streets we have as a priority, we know we need to be focusing on where this new assessment is saying- we’re getting a higher return for tax dollars but not seeing as much attention to repairs and replacements.

Question 11: City population has declined and maintenance has increased. What part of city infrastructure budget needs to be decreased?

Any funding needs to be redirected into core. We will see higher return if we focus on downtown and neighborhoods surrounding- where you often see crime and negative things happen.
