@RaraSensei Also, connecting slickly to my other thought on recent trends, I think people who don’t qualify at all are using lawyers to try to sneak in and then if it works that becomes a cheat code they share.
@RaraSensei Maybe my comment came out backwards, but I meant it as the less money you have the sillier the decision becomes.
So, from my point of view, the reason people think it’s necessary is normally because people who are either well off or silly have too much influence.
@RaraSensei OK. Then it’s people who think that 300,000 yen is less valuable than the effort it takes or people unable to speak Japanese. If you make under like 10 million a year and speak Japanese you’d be rather silly not to do it.
@Megacurve I don’t know enough to have a deep opinion, though such stories will always remind me of the politician who was praised for the bravery to demand paternity leave, until he was spotted using it to meet his mistress.
@jessicastokyo@picopicogamer Is that Tokyo specific?
First time buyers being 39.5 and second time in their 50s? Outside Tokyo that seems wildly off.
It seems choosing Tokyo is like choosing to make 25% more, and pay 300% extra.
Have you visited TeamLab Botanical Garden Osaka yet?
The lights reflecting on the pond create such a magical atmosphere ✨🌙
I've been to teamLab in Tokyo too, but Osaka feels special because the artworks blend into nature outdoors 🌳

@_BTPC_@SilverSurferQ17@Nerdrotics You can buy a small older house within 30 minutes of this video for well below 100K American… is that the lower standard?
@PaprikaGirl_JP@MelissaJeanSays I don’t think he much existed in America either. His final shows appear to be pulling nostalgia for the building he occupied, rather than the show he had made. Letterman, remember his show? The Beatles, remember they played here before me too?
@Peckitt He was offended and told you off. To be honest, I assume you said something as you stood up like: “why are you sitting so close” or the like, but thats just my assumption.
However, maybe I’m wrong and people sit next to the disabled in order to harass them.
@Peckitt I’m picturing a man sitting next to you, for no reason, or because you are foreign and interesting to him, and then you stand and move, a rather elaborate and not simple action for you I think, and if you made it obvious you were moving away from this man…
@hizaga I’m being tortured these days trying to set up my SBI investment account, which needed the Olive SMBC account, which started a new vpoint number, which is different from the one I use, so it can’t hook to the SBI account… which do I fix first?
