Before Christ came into my life I viewed people as rivals, obstacles, threats, pawns and pieces of meat. But God! Every soul is precious, created for His glory.
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Whoever thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.
[Romans 14:17-19]
I no longer live weighted down.
I no longer am haunted by my guilt.
I no longer live in the darkness of shame.
I no longer run and hide from you.
I have been liberated by the power of grace,
free now to worship and celebrate you.
God's most significant objective in my life, from salvation until Jesus returns, is sanctification. We want our lives to be comfortable, successful, and predictable, but God is willing to compromise all of these in order to deal with our deepest difficulty: indwelling and remaining sin.
ψυχης - psychē
Soul — noun. The immaterial part of a person which is the actuating cause of an individual life; the site of all the psychological faculties (such as the heart, mind, and conscience).
Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. For,
“Yet a little while,
and the coming one will come and will not delay;
but my righteous one shall live by faith,
and if he shrinks back,
my soul has no pleasure in him.”
But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.
[Hebrews 10:35-39]
One of the most healing things you can do for yourself once you've been hurt by someone...
Pray for them and forgive, even when reconciliation is either unsafe or impossible... and pray that your heart remains soft towards others in the future, unmarred from its injury.
Holy Spirit can do unimaginable things with a heart that is willing.❤️
I have to say this: a good Creator lovingly created a pleasurable creation. That means that the world we enjoy is not inherently evil. But, even a good thing becomes a bad thing when it becomes a ruling thing in our hearts.
Hi Mick... A religious spirit seeks to control though moral authority. A political spirit seeks to control through legal authority.
Both the religious spirit and political spirit seek to establish conformity to speech, but only the political spirit has legal authority to control in the kingdoms of the earth.
But faith in Christ has the power to set free...
God is more!
