So you de find Wordpress devs trouble sha but let’s break it down. Think about it like this: your WordPress site is doing fine, then you start getting traffic start going crazy and your server is struggling.

With vertical scaling, you just say, “Okay, let’s upgrade this server.” More RAM, more CPU, bigger server, problem hopefully solved.

But with horizontal scaling, you’re like, “This one server cannot suffer alone again.” 😂 So you bring in more servers and put a load balancer in front of them to share the traffic.

The funny part is, now that you have multiple WordPress servers, so you have to make sure they can all access the same database, images, uploads, cache, etc. not all Wordpress devs can do this.

Basically, vertical scaling is giving one server more power. Horizontal scaling is giving the server backup. Wordpress devs how do you do it?

instead of overusing your babe, you should scale horizontally

Horizontally - getting multiple babes you can rotate every hour

Advantages:

You can have them perform different functions, babe A for your weird fetishes, babe B for Head, babe C for Raw, babe D for food

Babe A would have more time to recharge before you finish with Babe G

Vertical Scaling - Make one server much stronger (more CPU, RAM, storage, etc.), as your request grows, you just keep upgrading that same server.

Why choose it:
Much easier to set up and manage
Usually cheaper at the beginning
Simpler (everything is in one place)
Cost-effective when your app is still small or medium-sized

Horizontal Scaling - Add more servers instead of making one server stronger, you place these servers in different locations across countries and cities, as your product and user requests grows, you just keep adding more servers.

Advantages:
Can grow almost without limit
Users get faster responses (served from the closest server
Very low latency
More fault-tolerant (if one server dies, others keep working)
More agile and flexible

However, it is more complex and usually more expensive to manage than a single powerful server.

I asked our young engineers to create a prototype technology that could fix election integrity in Nigeria.

The way it will work is simple: voters come to the polling station, tap their voter’s card on an electronic tablet or machine, and the political parties for that election appear. They then tap to select a party, and fingerprint or facial authentication takes place.

Once that is confirmed, the vote is recorded in real time and also sent to a live server where everyone in the country can see it in real time.

This will be done in Enugu by our stars within the next 2 weeks.

They will build both the software and hardware components.

I’m raising a generation that sees solutions to every problem instead of dwelling too much on complaining.

Yesterday, I had the honour of celebrating the graduation of 850 young innovators from TechRise Cohort 3. These brilliant minds have completed intensive ICT training and are now equipped to shape Abia’s digital future.

To encourage their excellent performance, I have:

* Approved automatic employment into the State Civil Service for the 19 best-graduating students.
* Directed that all 850 graduands receive ₦100,000 each.
* Gifted them the laptops used during training, now theirs to keep.

Beyond these, I have instructed our ministries to integrate TechRise talents into government ICT projects, ensuring their skills directly improve public service delivery. A special salary structure for ICT professionals in the civil service will also be introduced.

I urge our graduands to remain committed to continuous learning. The greatest reward of the programme is the knowledge and skills they now possess. Use them to build businesses, create innovations, and uplift society—not for harmful purposes.

I am particularly proud of the team that developed a functional drone. We will support them in moving this innovation from concept to commercial reality.

Finally, we are working to establish international-standard ICT certification centres in Abia and expand internet access across the state in partnership with MTN.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to our graduands, once again. You are the true architects of our collective future.
