@MrJohnNicolson I knew Mr Leon Greenman OBE. He came to our 6th form at my request to talk to my fellow students and teachers about his experience at Auschwitz. He survived, but saw his wife and child taken to the gas chamber. A truly memorable, gut wrenching, emotional talk we will never forget
It is with enormous sadness that I have resigned from my role as president of the RSPCA . I would like to register my respect and admiration for all the staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to protect animals from cruelty . Thank you

With huge sadness I’m resigning as VP of the RSPCA, a role I’ve held with pride for over 15 years. But their Assured Schemes risk misleading the public & legitimising cruelty. I tried with @ChrisGPackham to persuade the leadership to act but sadly failed https://t.co/a3XIqw1HE9
.@ChrisGPackham & @CarolineLucas have both Joined @DrBrianMay by resigning from @RSPCA_official it is sad that the most famous animal charity in the world cannot achieve its mandate to prevent cruelty : Read & share https://t.co/GdBodT4GGn
@Hadders41183 Understandable. We lost our rescue dog, Jess Nov 30th last year. Nothing could replace her, but we went back to the same rescue, and they said they had a 9 year old dog, left at the pound, who needed a home. Photo is of Benny we rehomed in January. A special dog we love very much
I called families to tell them their beloved was dying. I read out messages from absent family members. I saw the British public behave with such *staggering* decency as they obeyed the rules to protect the vulnerable.
Is my anger 'overblown'?
She has absolutely no idea.
