@eurovisionbrent Vast majority of the TV audience are going to see the performances for the first time today. Nobody outside the ESC fan bubble knows or cares about things like momentum or betting odds.
@_onlyteardrops Finland's public broadcasting company YLE has been hit with severe budget cuts, so I don't think we'll be hosting the competition unless we have to, that is only if we win.
@Reality_Tim Youtube views and likes are a poor indicator when most of those views and likes are coming from their own countries who can't vote for themselves.
@marcwhit1@EurovisionNewZ I'll vote for UK as soon as they bring on a song worth voting for. I love LMNC's Youtube channel, I think he's a lovely bloke and I love the staging and humour of the performance, but unfortunately the song itself is pure ass.
@gerry_lts No, others weren't idiots, they just didn't care enough about playing live to ask for permission, or they didn't want to take the risk inherent to live instrumentation, or they just didn't read the rules to know that was an option.
@cathorsedrake@escbaran No, there was no special exception made just for them. The rules state that a permission for live instruments may be granted. Finland got the permission because they were the only ones who asked.
