What David Tennant did yesterday was to speak up for the LGBTQ+ community in as strong a way as those voices against us have been getting in recent years, including Kemi Badenoch.
Don’t like it?
Try being a gay person or a trans person, try being a woman having real sexism used against you, try being a victim of racism.
He didn’t say those words yesterday because of her race OR her gender (and I suspect that most people saying this, already know that), yet both were instantly thrown at him.
That would make it impossible to ever criticise Kemi without being labelled either of those things surely?
Why shouldn’t we be able to tell people to shut up if they are causing real violence and an increase in attacks against our community?
Why?
Freedom of speech is a powerful feature of democracy, David Tennant used his to take a stand for those that Tory culture wars have put at increased risk of being harmed or killed.
A government is supposed to represent EVERY citizen. Badenoch should do so, or leave her job.
Twice during yesterday’s Manifesto launch @RishiSunak shamelessly referred to the ECHR as a “foreign court”
I’ve not seen a single journalist call him out on this
The European Court of Human Rights IS NOT A FOREIGN COURT - it’s an international court which we signed up to!
There is no such thing as “a sick note culture.” There is a record high NHS waiting list, crippling housing costs, widespread food poverty, stagnant wages and inadequate benefit rates, a broken social care system, dire mental health services, and closed Sure Start centres.
I am deeply disturbed by the horrible situation and dramatic loss of life in several hospitals in Gaza.
In the name of humanity, I call for an immediate humanitarian cease fire.
@DrAmyPearson@KieranRose7@SheffieldLuke@NeuroRebel @neuroteachers @JodieSmitten Follow up musings, do you think masking is more damaging for Autistic people with Alexithymia? (Especially if there’s underlying sensory/Interoception challenges too?).
@DrAmyPearson@KieranRose7@SheffieldLuke@NeuroRebel @neuroteachers @JodieSmitten
Any ideas how best to respond to an Ed Psych who asserts that, “masking is a positive coping strategy” at school for our Autistic anxious child. It v clearly isn’t, ofc. EHCP tribunal imminent.
@DrAmyPearson@KieranRose7@SheffieldLuke@NeuroRebel @neuroteachers @JodieSmitten Thank you all for your replies, it’s really appreciated. I don’t know how so called professionals can continue to insist Autie masking is good when the recent evidence is so clearly against. Thank you for your work in this area. Clearly it is v needed.

UK Wholesale Gas is 38 pence a therm (year ahead).
This is down from 550 pence in February.
While your energy bills have gone up by 54%, the price of wholesale has fallen by 93%.
Daylight robbery.
