Will you be planning to attend the Zelda 40th Anniversary Concert next year?

In 1882, 10,000 workers marched up Broadway in the first-ever Labor Day parade. Led by democratic socialists and organized by New York’s unions, they rallied the movement that went on to win us weekends, safety standards, overtime pay, a minimum wage, and social security.
None of those victories were guaranteed. And none are permanent.
We created the first-in-the-nation Office of Worker Power to put the full weight of City Hall behind the people who keep New York running. On Labor Day, we honor the workers who came before us by fighting for the workers who come next.
Happy Labor Day, New York. The future of worker power is ours to build. Learn more at https://t.co/OIfGPvkFEU.
I called this back in July. Cities are going to end contracts with Flock to make you feel like you've won the battle against mass surveillance.
And as soon as you stop paying attention, they will re-install the same exact technology under a different name.
Over the last 200 years, trade unionists have been jailed & even killed fighting for economic justice.
But because of them, we have decent wages for millions, the 8-hour workday and the end of child labor.
This Labor Day, let's continue the fight for an economy that works for all of us, not just the 1%.
Good news you might've missed: 131,000 acres of protected land were just added across three states.
• Michigan added 73,000 acres in the Upper Peninsula. The DNR bought a conservation easement across Baraga, Iron, and Marquette counties. The land includes Mount Arvon, 96 lakes and ponds, over 70 miles of snowmobile/ORV trails, and a core range of Michigan's moose population.
• West Virginia added 38,000 acres of easements near New River Gorge, donated outright by Aurora Sustainable Lands. The land protects 81 miles of streams in the Greenbrier, Gauley, and New River watersheds, plus habitat for the rusty patched bumblebee and five native bat species.
• Montana added over 20,000 acres of easements in the Cabinet Mountains, most of the value donated by Stimson Lumber. The land is a migration corridor for elk, mule deer, and moose. It's also habitat for bull trout, grizzly bears, and Canada lynx.
After Trump green-lit 300,000 metric tons of cheap imported beef, ranchers revolted. In an attempt pander, Trump has now given the Interior 90 days to justify delisting Gray Wolves & Lobos.
Wolves account for less than 1% of unwanted cattle losses.

BREAKING NEWS FOR WOLVES.
Today, surrounded by ranchers and other livestock interests in the Oval Office, President Trump signed an executive order targeting federal protections for gray wolves, including the endangered and critically imperiled Mexican gray wolf.
The order directs the Secretary of the Interior to determine whether wolves meet the legal criteria for removal from the Endangered Species Act list. It does not delist them today, but it begins a process that could remove federal protections and allow expanded lethal management under state law.
During the signing, wolves were portrayed as threats to livestock and pets, as creature to be shot and destroyed. This factually incomplete, deeply one-sided, and ignorant framing did not acknowledge the documented scale of wolf predation relative to other causes of livestock mortality, nor the extreme rarity of wolf attacks on humans, nor the indispensable ecological role wolves play on the landscape we call home.
Wolves are a keystone species and apex predator, crucial to sustaining the health, function, and balance of our ecosystems.
Wolves must not be scapegoated to advance a political agenda.
Their future must be determined by sound science, the law, and the requirements for genuine recovery.
Truthfully, this is a dangerous moment for wolves, wild horses, and wildlife, and we must speak out.
Raise your voice. Contact your Members of Congress and tell them to defend federal Endangered Species Act protections for wolves.
