The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has issued a National Advisory following the ongoing Bundibugyo Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak in DRC and Uganda.

🔹 Nigeria’s current risk: HIGH risk of importation
🔹 No confirmed cases in Nigeria at this time
🔹 No licensed vaccine or specific treatment for this strain

State governments, health institutions, and stakeholders are urged to strengthen surveillance, early detection, IPC measures, contact tracing, emergency response coordination, and community awareness.

Together, vigilance and preparedness remain key to protecting public health.
