Writers, be honest.
Which character in your story surprised you the most while writing them?
Like… you had a plan for them, but they basically said “Nope, I’m doing this instead.”

Authors, what scares you more?
A. Getting honest feedback on your manuscript
B. Getting feedback that is TOO nice and doesn't point out the problems
C. Sending your manuscript to someone and waiting for their reaction.
I'm curious. Which one?

Writers, what do you do when writer’s block hits?
I honestly think forcing yourself to write can make it worse. Sometimes you need to step away, read, listen to music, or just let your brain breathe.
What actually helps YOU get the words flowing again? #WritingCommunity
Your story may start as something only you understand.
With time, patience, and revision, you can turn it into something readers can experience too.
What stage is your manuscript at right now?#WritingCommunity#WriterMotivation#AuthorCommunity
@WickedFreckledT@NoahRayWrites@laxmere Wow, that sounds intense, especially with so many moving parts to keep track of. What stage are you currently at with the manuscript?
To every writer facing a blank page:
Drink some water. Take a walk. Read something you love. Then come back.
You’re not a bad writer because the words aren’t coming today. One sentence still counts.
What are you writing?
@WickedFreckledT@NoahRayWrites@laxmere Honestly, rewrites can make the word count feel like it’s standing still. But adding a new scene is still progress. What’s the story about? I’m curious about the 147 HTML files too.
@NickPWilford 80k while juggling a job is seriously impressive. I love that reminder too, even a little progress still counts. What are you writing about?
@cup_of_comfort Wow, 80k words and 400 pages is a lot. I can understand how that could burn you out, especially after pushing yourself so hard. I’m glad you’re able to write again though. Are you working on the same story now, or have you started something new?
Writers, before you hit “publish,” try this:
Read your chapter out loud.
You’ll catch awkward sentences, repeated words, missing words, and dialogue that doesn’t sound natural much faster than you would while silently reading.
What’s one editing habit that has helped you?
