We celebrate our Senior Partner @israel_aye today!
Happy birthday Israel. We pray that your strength be renewed like that of the eagles.
A policy that treats children as passive objects of protection rather than rights-bearing citizens with developing agency will ... fail to secure the buy-in of the young people whose behaviour it is trying to shape, writes, @funmiodude.

I don't know who needs to hear this but I have to say it - DON'T HAVE SEX WITH AN INTOXICATED WOMAN. YOU RISK BEING ACCUSED OF RAPE! Because drunk people lack the capacity to give informed CONSENT to sexual activity.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
People forget that Jesus came at a time when Jerusalem was under Roman occupation. They installed a puppet King (Herod) and taxed the people heavily.
But the Jewish people had historical records of God using Moses to save them in Egypt. They had read of how God used King David to save them from their enemies. If God did it before, he can do it again. If he save them from Egypt, surely he can save them from Rome.
So they expected a Warrior King. A Messiah that would save them from the chains of Rome. You could forgive them for thinking that Jesus was that warrior King. Because when he spoke, he spoke with authority. He performed miracles and drew huge crowds who followed him. To cap it up, he spoke about "The Kingdom of God" - A Phrase that simple meant "Regime Change" to the people.
So when He rode into Jerusalem (on Palm Sunday), people started shouting - “Hosanna…Blessed is the King!”. They weren’t just worshipping. They were endorsing a potential revolutionary leader. Their own version of a Nationalist Political Leader.
BUT THEY WERE GREATLY DISAPPOINTED!
There was a clash of expectations. While they expected a sword, Jesus brought a message of “love your enemies....blessed are the peacemakers".
When they expected Rome to fall, he urged them instead to “Render unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar".
They expected political liberation, instead, He spoke about inner transformation, salvation of the soul and a spiritual kingdom. They wanted a King to overthrow Rome but Jesus instead revealed a Kingdom not built on violence but on the core plan of reconciling sinners to God.
If Jesus was to come in the 21st Century, many would be greatly disappointed because his person and message would not be different from when He came in the 1st Century.
After all, isn't he the same yesterday, today and forever?

Happy Good Friday from all of us at CANDELP!
My name is Oluwatosin Olaseinde, in 2023 I applied for over 100 opportunities and we only got 6 of them. This totaled grant of $125,000 and multiple fellowships.
From an arithmetic perspective, only 5% of the things we shot at came back to us. This is your sign to not give up. Keep applying, keep showing up, and keep pushing forward until you hit your goals.
It’s a numbers game.
Today we celebrate the strength, resilience, and care of mothers everywhere.

📌Update 🇳🇬
Yesterday, the Federal Executive Council approved a Digital Alphanumeric Postcode System for Nigeria and honestly… this is one of those quiet policies that will change everyday life.
If you have ever tried to describe your Nigerian address, you will understand.
“After the big mango tree…”
“Turn where you see Mama Bisi’s shop…”
“The blue gate beside the church…”
Then the dispatch rider calls four times.
This new system means every house, shop, street and building will have a unique digital address code tied to the national map.
One code.
One exact location.
No confusion.
That means:
• Dispatch riders will finally find houses without calling 5 times
• Online orders will arrive faster
• Ambulances and fire service can locate emergencies quicker
• Businesses can deliver anywhere in Nigeria
• Government can plan roads, schools and hospitals better
These are the kinds of invisible infrastructure that power modern economies.
Sometimes progress is not noise.
Sometimes it’s systems quietly fixing problems Nigerians deal with every day.
Thank you
President @officialABAT
Honourable Minister @bosuntijani
PMG @Tola_Odeyemi
and the teams at @FMCIDENigeria and @NipostNgn
Nigeria is building.
And when the day comes that a rider gets to your house without calling you once, you will understand why this matters.

I recommend this for lawyers interested in working with banks and other financial institutions. Most of the banks listed in this volume failed due to lack of corporate governance, insider loans and stranglehold of some banks by a few etc. Assurance Bank had Father and Daughter as Chairman BOD and Managing Director respectively.
Some of these early banks were plundered to death by it's management.
One key take away is that a bank is as good as its financial records. 👌
Pastors cannot have tattoos.
Pastors cannot wear waist and ankle chains.
Pastors cannot………..
I have just one word for all the LAW makers on what a Pastor can or cannot do:
“Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.”
Romans 14:4 NKJV
You are NOT the master of the Pastor. Read the whole of that chapter and understand that you, a man, cannot be the determinant of what will grieve a person to fall.
REST.
