Wait. What? GIST? I hadn't heard of it either. It's a type of tumor (of the not-so-friendly variety) that is rare but treatable. There have only been about 5K cases ever. Well, I know about GIST now. I'm special; I have been in treatment for a few weeks now, and so far, so good.
