Everyone who rushed to sign up to Threads ignoring the warnings just played themselves. Try and back out now and you lose everything.

Made a crude export of my follow list using ShareX scrolling capture and updated linktree. Likely the last chance I'll get at this rate.
That's the last of what I wanted out of this account. It can burn now.
It'll take time but I'll find everyone again 👋
@shimwood I momentarily had FB in school almost a decade ago. Despite its read-only uses, other people tagged my name in photos and places without consent or knowledge. Deleted that account real fast after realising what a privacy disaster it was. Not doing that again with Threads.
My Tweeten TweetDeck is now dead and incapable of starting. I am now effectively blind to Twitter notifications both on mobile and desktop. As predicted, lost half my tabs, filtering is gone, multi-account management is gone, and UI scales like shit. Absolutely fucking useless.
PS: For anyone even thinking of suggesting Meta Threads. Hell the fuck no. It can burn in hell with Twitter and Reddit. You don't take your things out of one dumpster fire and put it in another megalomaniac's dumpster ripe for exploitation and THEN burning.
I'll be updating my bio later to include where I've moved to but for now just assume I can't see shit here.
Eventually I'll be self hosting my own servers and content.
Well there goes my last bastion of sanity interacting with this hell site. I ain't about to pay ransom a megalomaniac for the privilege of organising and filtering my shit.
This is was one of the last ways I could keep my home and art feeds tamper free.
In other news. Managed to brute force Docker onto an ARM based Synology NAS complete with working bridging. The lobotomised kernel modules played hard to get but nothing root can't fix.
Time to self host all the things!
As bad as I feel for the people who built their livelihood on this platform, after all the vocal warnings and everything he's done you can't say you didn't foresee this. Not only that but it's been a known thing for years to 'diversify' your marketing and income.
Even my Tweeten desktop app is having issues loading basic posts and replies now. Get me the marshmallows while everyone loses their goddamn minds.
Wheels are falling off left and right, conversations are a disjointed mess, and bills aren't being paid.
I swear I woke to some Loony Toons level dumbassery from emerald baby causing a self-DDoS. Minecraft modders have less stupid fuckups than this. Don't test in prod kids!

I'm still somewhat active here until the ongoing dumpster fire renders it inoperable, but those are where I will primarily moving to now.
I'm also working on self hosting a bunch of things too but that won't be ready for another year at least.
After spending a day testing and customising apps, think I've pretty much settled on my Twitter and Reddit replacements on Android.

Well, looks like Reddit pulled the plug a little early. Apollo started crashing, but I just manually revoked my token and it looks like it fixes the crashing, but no more Reddit access haha. Those folks are fun to the very end! 😛
Yes, great, this is exactly what I want; Youtube threatening to ban likely a significant portion of my audience. If this goes through I'll try to speed up the process of getting my videos on another platform also:

Valve aren't just removing games with AI art on Steam. They're also removing games with AI text too. The premise being 'you don't own the copyright to that content', which is objectively true.
Imagine basing your entire techbro business model around bypassing regulatory crackdowns to hock your 'revolutionary' grift.
Now where have I seen this before...
