I made a short film with $300 and a few friends. A few thoughts:
On risk — The film explores the beauty and terror in risk, and how one must have the courage to redefine the concept in terms of life instead of death. We spend so much of our capacity safeguarding and protecting ourselves from any potential loss. It eats up our energy, creativity, and vital force in ways that I’m not sure most of us even comprehend.
Making this film — Every film has its own constraints and obstacles. This one was particularly interesting because I had no money for it (nor time, honestly). Vince got confirmation of location on a Thursday and we prepared production in 22h, wrapping shoot by Saturday at 1pm. I wrote, directed, DP’d, and art directed this myself. Costume came from my personal wardrobe, a quick run to Nordstrom, an Amazon order, and a raid on our lead actor’s mother’s jewelry stash. I called my friend Melis the day we were due to shoot the UPS scene and told her our UPS costume didn’t arrive on time and we needed a solution. She spent the morning driving around Palo Alto looking for UPS workers on the streets, and convinced a man nicknamed Hollywood Ron to act in the film. Legend.
Inspiration — In a time of growing AI generated video and uncanny perfection, I’ve been inspired by cinema from decades past. This short is a nod to 70s French cinema and the imperfect and transcendental glory of old-school filmmaking.

It will start to pickup significantly in 2026
I’ve been checking deeper immune labs on hospitalized patients… something ain’t right
Currently testing out potential solutions and protocols
