In church yesterday, I talked about the upcoming Juneteenth holiday. And I was met with, "But they already have a day in January! For what's his name, Martin Luther, right?"
Y'all, if I'm this tired, imagine how tired our black brothers and sisters are.
"It's not the guns, it's the human heart. If it wasn't a gun, it would be a knife."
Well, last I checked, a knife can't fire 5 rounds a second. Don't you think it stands to reason that FEWER DEATHS would occur if semiautomatic weapons were out of the picture?
You're trying to gain and keep the world, but you've traded the lives of those you had no business offering in exchange. And you've lost your soul in the process.

I care more about children living through the school day than I care about:
- your right to own a gun
- your desire to unmask
I care more about children being protected from predators than I care about:
- your ordination
- your half-assed apologies

And these children are growing up in a world where their value as an individual, as even a collective group, is less than your right to...whatever it is. By pushing your rights, you are saying that what you think you're owed is more important than these lives.
