Thank you so much to @HCPSSecurityEM for helping us brighten the holidays for so many of our families! You are keeping us safe and spreading joy to our students and families.
Iโm so excited to have received a grant from EL Learning for their math fact fluency program, Reflex! I cannot wait to see their fact fluency improve using this program. Students began exploring our new resource today!
We had an amazing field trip today to the Tampa Museum of Art! Students got to interpret art, sketch things they were seeing, make clay models of artwork that we saw, and play in the park at lunchtime! What a special experience for our kiddos ๐ซถ๐ผ
Had a very full circle moment today! Our field trip to the art museum was right across the river from the university that I attended, so I got to take a picture with my students in front of the place where I learned how to teach them! ๐ฅน #GoSpartans#UTampa
Food included:
- fruit salad featured in Esperanza Rising, which our fourth graders are reading in ELA
- passion fruit juice (jugo de maracuyรก)
- pan de tomate, a traditional spanish tapa
I think it is so important to teach our students to recognize and respect cultures of every kind. We did this in 4th grade during our Hispanic Heritage month party! Some students even got to color in the flag of where their own family is from!
Oak Park would like to congratulate our award winners for this school year. These 3 were selected by their peers as extreme difference makers for our students. Congrats to @ohsnapp2teach Ida S Baker, Alexandra Flores TOY, & Mayibe Castro Instructional Support!
