But from my interpretation it wouldn’t restart bc Pitt & SMU wouldn’t be tied based on conf SOS.

Depends on if the tiebreaking procedure restarts once they separate Duke from the tie, which ACC doesn’t make 100% clear in their procedure.

They add up the conference W-L of all 8 ACC opponents that each team played and whoever has the best opponent combined ACC record wins the tiebreak.

With SMU also in the tiebreak it has to be common opponent shared by all 3 (SMU didn’t play GT), which is only Cuse & all 3 beat Cuse. Then moves to conf opponent win % which Duke would have.
