🚨 Iraola on Liverpool’s midfield:

“I think in midfield we have good numbers. Now it’s a matter of getting the right calls from my side.”

He says the next run of games will give him the chance to test different combinations and work out “who plays well with the other.”

Interesting that Iraola clearly feels this is more about finding the right midfield balance than a lack of options. I personally felt we are short there but hopefully I am wrong 🔴 #LFC

@AILFC1892 @eddiegibbs He did say the squad was thin at one point but maybe midfield wasn’t a priority for him.. obviously he knows what he wants but looking at our first 2 games and the long season ahead I think we are badly missing a workhorse in midfield.

We are desperately needing a player that wins tackles, possession and reads the game well.. I can’t believe we are relying on gravenberch!
Our inability (Hughes really) to see positions that need strengthening is crazy!

@centrekop @JamesPearceLFC Hopefully it works out that way but I don’t see how any team (especially a premier league team) can be successful without a number 6 who takes no messing , breaks up play, sniffs out danger, does the dirty work and can let the rest of his teammates flourish in attack.

Having said that he is not getting any game time on loan at Levante either.

@TheLiverpoolEra There is not a full season between the 3 RB’s. The LB’s area is appalling.
No midfielder to absolute man the midfield with aggression.
Hoping Isak stays fit (which I doubt) to get us 20 league goals this season as I can’t see anyone at the moment to bang them in.

@Tarzanjr554 The amount of bullshit quotes that never happened I am seeing on x lately is crazy.. every false quote is accompanied by a picture of the person or video.
It’s everywhere and people just lap it up as true
