15-year-old Mustafa Abu Talib is now living with partial paralysis after an Israeli bullet tore through his chest, shattering his seventh vertebra and causing catastrophic damage to his lungs and spine.

Since the shooting, Mustafa’s health has been deteriorating day by day. He can no longer move, suffers from excruciating pressure sores, severe pain across his body, difficulty urinating and defecating, and a constant high fever that doctors are unable to control.

Medical teams in Gaza are doing everything they can, but the Israeli siege and the collapse of the healthcare system mean that the essential equipment and specialized treatment he needs simply do not exist. The delicate and urgent spinal and spinal-cord surgeries required to save his life cannot be performed inside the Gaza Strip.
