Mayer Gil could be an option though I don't know his status atm. Menjívar, Dueñas, Cartagena could be potential replacements as well depending on form. I'm not sure who else can be brought in to help the back line. Just saying this leaves me more skeptical of improvements

Going forward, there has to be more security in defense. Midfield desperately needs an improvement. I thought Cerritos was fine yesterday but Cerén and Landaverde can't continue. Osorio needs to take a step up in Chicago to justify more playtime & Pérez could've had more chances

That first was probably as good as it gets with this team. Despite finding some success in wide spaces, real looks at goal have been far and few between. Maybe Osorio or even Joshua Pérez can provide a other option centrally to play off of

Only 2 changes from last game. Ronald Rodríguez in place of Cruz in the backline and Ordaz (!) starts over Vásquez. I'm cautiously optimistic but well aware this will be a very difficult match. Ideally they squeak out a dub but a draw may not be bad considering 🇸🇷 also drew vs 🇵🇦

@Abhay_Set Well, the last 20 was pure defending anyways. Rotating between Gil, Vásquez and Ordaz will be key. At least one of them will have to come on as a sub to give a fresh legs but Ordaz has the solo playmaking ability the others don't

My biggest takeaway: Nathan Ordaz can't be coming off the bench. He's leaps and bounds the best player in attack

Longest ending to a game i can remember. Those extra 6 felt like 20. What a shocking result, given the general attitude surrounding each side coming into this. It ended up being more will and attitude than anything else but a win is a win at this point

Less of a fluid game this second half but Guatemala has been putting González under pressure. I thought they were on the brink of opening up the score. Osorio puts one in from a corner and didn't even get it cleanly. 0-1 with about 10 to go
