@aplusdomains1 Exactly. This isn't just about one customer's refund. Existing registrants need protection and fair treatment when the direction changes after years of promoting these domains and their future.
@maz_first@ntropiq Exactly. That’s the contradiction. They can’t say customers only relied on ICANN statements after the cutoff while ignoring their own repeated ICANN messaging before it. You can’t have it both ways.
@Eth_domains@ICANN Absolutely. Existing holders invested real money and years of trust. Any future DNS integration must protect their interests and recognize that history.
Fun Fact: @unstoppableweb started of calling their product Blockchain Domains when “blockchain” was trending, then NFT domains when NFT’s were trending. Then pounced on the web3 reference. They also tried calling them Onchain domains for a while but it didn’t cross the chasm
@aplusdomains1@mattgould@sandy_carter@findporpoise@unstoppableweb Well said. Many early users believed in UD’s vision and invested in good faith. Now that the direction has changed, UD should do the right thing and offer fair refunds to all affected users. We’re asking for one thing: fairness and justice. ❤️
