This is that time I got a chance to hold forth on the future of classical music for five terrifying minutes (terrifying because the Powerpoint slide deck was auto-advancing every 15 seconds!) @tessnetwork. #futureclassical#TLCC#TNInspire

Blog post up on the third book in the @PushkinPress editions of the Deptford Mice trilogy. The Final Reckoning has always been a brutal read and time hasn't changed that. But it is deeply humane and more timely than ever. Thanks once more @RobinJarvis1963

@RobinJarvis1963 Wow, so in an alternative universe that poor old hedgehog was saved at the last minute by the type layout process only to have the robots of the future go back in time to take him out.
It's Terminator meets children's fiction! (But I do agree it is a great addition to the tale.)
Back again with another blog post on the phenomenal @PushkinPress reprints of The Deptford Mice. This time it's The Crystal Prison, where @RobinJarvis1963
continues to break our hearts every time.
https://t.co/Y2To7GcxgH So grateful to see these wonderful new editions.
Very excited to rejoin my co-blogger Aufwader in firing up the @RobinJarvis1963 blog again after several years. To celebrate the release of the stunning new @PushkinPress edition of the beloved Deptford Mice trilogy, here are our thoughts on Book 1.

@RobinJarvis1963@PushkinPress Turned out it was just Amazon being confused. I think they confused my pre-order as being for an old out-of-print version or something.
I canceled my pre-order from months ago, re-ordered the books and they are on the way down South as we speak! Can't wait.
@NigelPeever@RobinJarvis1963 You can hunt around and find them on YT if you look. Much rarer (at least in Australia) is to find your rendition of the first two Jax books!
๐ญ Robin Jarvis' classic series, The Deptford Mice, is reborn in 2024, packed with all new illustrations and just as much mouse murder!ย @RobinJarvis1963
Do you remember reading these? Got a favourite rodent (or feline) you're looking forward to seeing newly illustrated?
@PushkinChildren@RobinJarvis1963 Thank you so much for republishing these! Can't wait to get the new editions (and maybe buy some for friends as well).
It's been too long.
@dangolding Yeah, I was surprised about this. Babylon, while a tad obnoxious, doesn't sound like any other score. But I struggle to tell the difference between AQOTWF and the Lorne Balfe score for the new Luther movie. Or many other dark scores for that matter.
