@OFTHEEWITCHES Moon looks at the items she's pointing to. He has no idea what to expect. He wasn't even really sure the difference between magic and charms and spells and curses.
"Okay, so the candles. What can you do with those?"
@OFTHEEWITCHES "Charms, huh."
Moon takes a closer look at the items on the shelves. Looking carefully over things. Wanting to touch but worrying that might open a portal or something.
"Can you show me more?"
@OFTHEEWITCHES Moon spins around, following the shop keeper as she moves around the store.
"Concealment, like a magic trick?"
He takes a second look at the shelves that line the walls. Where are the decks of cards and top hats?
"I didn't realize this was a magic shop."
@OFTHEEWITCHES Moon still doesn't quite believe it. He walks over to the window, looking for his own reflection in the glass. It's definitely there.
"So I'm not invisible."
He touches the side of his face. He was real enough. He spins back around.
"But then why couldn't those thugs see me?"
@OFTHEEWITCHES is calling him out.
He cracks the door open a few inches, testing the space with his hand. Nothing weird going on. Then he exits the closet completely and closes the door behind him.
Was he invisible? He waves at the shop attendant.
"Can you see me?"
@OFTHEEWITCHES Moon is still in disbelief. How did those thugs not see him hiding in the closet? He saw them clear as day, and heard their voices. Hell, he could smell the gunpowder from their weapons.
The voices and heavy footsteps retreat soon after, and then the shop attendant

@OFTHEEWITCHES with no reaction at all. It was like they couldn't even see him. Like he was invisible. How was that even possible????
The closet is slammed shut again, sending Moon back into darkness. A few moments later, the men storm out.
......What the hell just happened?
@OFTHEEWITCHES the shop attendant? If they forced her to open the door...
His finger lifts from the trigger. He couldn't shoot without looking first. A risk he'd have to take.
Footsteps suddenly approach, and the closet door opens—
And Moon is stunned as the men peer inside

@OFTHEEWITCHES and closing himself up inside of the narrow room. He does his best not to touch anything for fear of knocking something over.
Then there's banging on the shop door. Would she let them in or just shoo them away?
@OFTHEEWITCHES By some miracle, the shop attendant has the wherewithal to usher Moon back towards a storage closet. He really hopes it locks. Like with a deadbolt. And was bulletproof.
Was that too much to ask?
She's convincing though, and a few seconds later, he's whispering his thanks
++
@OFTHEEWITCHES he really didn't want to and he really hated the idea of hurting someone innocent.
He turns around, hands a little out to the sides. Non-threatening. For now.
"Sorry to barge in. I need a place to hide for a few minutes. I've got some bad company on my tail."

Moon takes a sharp turn through an narrow alley and... spots a shop with the lights still on. Good enough, if he could slip inside before his attackers rounded the corner.
He flies through the door and pushes it closed, reaching for the locks and
