We've managed to gnaw a hole in the corner of our Twitter account and so we're off to @futuremice.bsky.social on the other site to look for better morsels.
Hope to see you over there. So we can steal your sandwiches.
We have until the end of May to set our objectives so after some thought:
Food: Collect and store 6 muffins from the @KillingStation
Safety: Identify and escape from at least two mouse traps in BBC buildings
Publicity: Attempt to appear in back of shot during the News at Six
It seems that some are blaming us for technical difficulties during the DG's speech although that wasn't us.
Please refer all complaints to the Royal Television Society mice.
Freely "leverages the might of the PSBs". We get a lot of PSBs around London Broadcasting House...
We're assuming they mean Pretty Stale Biscuits, of course.
Things we've learned from the new BBC social media guidance:
1. Hyperlinks can be replaced with [square brackets mentioning something].
1. We should all respect each other. Even people you don't like.
1. Send emails before they're proofread
1. Numbering is now 1, 1, 1, 1...
All this on the back of another re-org at the BBC. We used to be in Future Media and Technology and now we're in Technology and Media Operations.
This is because it's not the future anymore and we do...erm...operate.
We've all been sent new guidelines for social media use at the Beeb and we're concerned that we're not mentioned in the list of staff with no impartiality requirements; just actors, dramatists, comedians, musicians, some presenters and pundits.
Nothing about BBC mice!
Today appears to be continued proof that the castle cannot exist without a constant state of restructuring. Should the structure ever be discovered, everything would implode
"A simpler, smaller BBC"
Well noticed, that doesn't really sound like that goes well with wanting to "deliver more" though definitely achieves the "with less"
So we merged in multiple other teams into tech group, but now there's plans to restructure and adjust role counts, including requesting voluntary redundancy for staff in tech group.
