#Pearloftheday When trying to get letters of recommendation, think about people who would write a strong letter for you. You want to pick people who know you very well and can advocate for you. Don't be afraid to ask your letter writer if they are able to write a strong letter.
#Pearloftheday When preparing your application, try to have someone read through your personal statement and formal application. Another set of eyes always helps. Try to start working on your CV from M1 year. It will be very useful by the time you apply.
#Pearloftheday Applying to Dermatology can be a long and tough process with ups and downs. Remember to always believe in yourself and know that you belong in this field. Continue to be persistent and passionate. Surround yourself with mentors who will help you achieve your goals.

The Anking team has permission from DermNetNZ to use images and are working to get permissions from others so they can share this deck publicly
Time commitment: As much as you want. You can do one small section of the book or do a lot. Many chapters have already been completed!
For those who are familiar with the Anki app and the Anking, there are a group of students and residents who are creating an organized Anki deck using the Alikhan dermatology textbook as its primary resource!
