@jjpriv09 @ivanupdates@vivinos@Official_ALNST the problem is the fact there is relatively no consistency with her skin-tone, at times the artists choose to make her tan and give her warm skin and other times, she just looks white. this merch is the most obvious example i can find.
@ochacold i genuinely cannot fathom how a ship between two men is able to trigger so much infighting. people care more about which one of them taking it up the ass is most crucial to their relationship than actually analyzing their characters.
@low_ctrl @hyderabadiyuri this argument is so nonsensical because we were given a whole comic about how all of the children were learning what the concept of kissing was, even if they had no word for it.
@Edashtwt @hyderabadiyuri to make matters worse, the arguments are always on the morality of the situation and if the perpetrators did it to intentionally harm the victims, rather than how the shock and trauma of the event changes the victim's mentality.
@hyderabadiyuri there's also a nasty double standard. everyone can agree that hylk's situation was cocs/a while ivti's situation is heavily debated on whether or not ivan actually did anything wrong, while a lot of people in both situations completely dismiss how till and hyuna were effected.
@hyderabadiyuri many people who enjoy alien stage have this idea that because there is no "structured" concept of what sexual assault is in their universe, ivan assaulting till can be excused and he can escape blame because he wasn't taught otherwise.
Alien Stage'd be a better show in general if the author wouldn't be obsessed with her. Lit all the charas are compared to Mizi even in extra info, she blocked at least two interesting characters development for focus on her. Also the rewriting for HER plot twist was v disrectful.
@demsie_chu3 calling corrective rape "////-breaking" is absolutely abhorrent, even worse when you realize this is a real phenomenon that has happened to thousands of lesbian individuals. and to follow it up with the statement this is a slur they can't even RECLAIM.
@kamisori_otome there's already a suggestive connotation with sua's ice cream on mizi's chest, as well as mizi and hyuna clearly /not/ following any proper dress code. why would vvmeng suddenly make such connotations if they were all children?
@yserah_ the biggest outlier for a college setting argument is that colleges don't host formal proms. i do think it's
hilarious for mizi and hyuna to be dressed like this in a proper school setting, though. 😭
@bitchshitfuck1@nerdyoii when it's put in the same worldbuilding and the only thing that's swapped is roles of characters being pushed into each other's stories, it falls flat. mizi's comics are very centric to the misogyny she faces *as a woman* and ivan is a man. do you see how that makes no sense?
