What choice do you think they actually have that doesn't include crashing things? There is no solution to the problems that didn't include cutting entitlements and slashing budgets. Either of those are losing political stances. They will run things hot as possible, inflate as much as possible and attempt to grow through everything. Chances are high that it crashes things.
