England vs Argentina is the big one.
It is not just about the Falklands (but is partly), it's that Argentina are dirty, cheating bastards and always have been.
They are arrogant, sneaky and all round terrible people.
Time to send them home.
Messi has been disgracing football his entire career, and you are all too scared to admit it:
> Barcelona Negreira case: 18 years (2001-2018) of alleged payments from Barcelona's president to the Spanish referee association... drawing almost every title that Messi has won with Barcelona into disrepute... (this case is ongoing)
> Messi is essentially the only player in football history to use human growth hormones during years of critical physical development...
> Messi and his father were convicted of tax fraud between 2007 and 2009... defrauding the Spanish government out of millions.
> Messi stole the Ballon d'Or off Haaland, Lewandowski, Sneijder, and Van Dijk. Particularly the Haaland and Lewandowski claims are shocking... Messi was miles behind in those campaigns. If Messi had even an ounce of integrity he would've handed the trophy to these players at the ceremony.
> The scandal at Stamford Bridge... go watch the 2009 UCL semi final against Chelsea again... try and tell me that wasn't rigged. The referee himself even claimed he 'had a very bad day'. Seems that every referee has a 'bad day' when Messi is on the pitch.
> They literally changed the frequency of Copa America's until Messi won one of them... then suddenly... changed it back... ridiculous...
> 2022 World Cup: a record 5 penalties awarded to Argentina. The Netherlands game is possibly the biggest scandal I've ever seen in world football. Messi's handball, Paredes booting the ball into the Dutch bench and not receiving a red??? Go watch that game again and tell me otherwise. Impossible. The most fraudulent trophy win of all time.
> 2026 World Cup: Argentina put on the easiest side of the draw, the only nation EVER to not face a top 15 side up until the semis. No red card against Algeria. The Cape Verde controversy... Messi taking the free kick before the wall was set and the keeper was in position. All the while, the entire world is still seething about the Egypt game. Salah's penalty claim, the disallowed goal... nothing but corruption.
> Why does Infantino, the president of FIFA, claim he 'suffers with Argentina'... you are the president... how on earth are you not remaining impartial? Scandalous. It reeks of favouritism.
> Not to mention he moved to PSG, stunk it out and retreated to USA of all places... enter 'Inter' Miami... the most plastic and manufactured club that has ever existed. Upon his arrival, Inter Miami suddenly and disproportionately hoard old European talent and walk the league. The competition in the MLS has suffered for it. How they even pulled these signings off from a financial fair play perspective is shocking. They somehow even got invited to the Club World Cup. The rules were literally changed to allow them in. Speechless. Beckham is complicit in this nonsense. His reputation should suffer for it imo.
All of you football media gimps suck him off... claiming he’s an ‘alien’, he’s ‘not from this planet’… genuinely shut up. It’s embarrassing and cringe. Twitter is infested with pro Messi content... it's disingenous, cherry-picking nonsense. This rhetoric that he's a small humble little boy from the streets of Argentina is nauseating.
Messi has made a mockery of football. And the world applauded him for it.

Americans were once members of a proudly literate society, but today, reading has declined across age groups, gender, and education levels. For The Atlantic’s August issue, @rosehorowitch explores the reading collapse—and its effects on civilization: https://t.co/AWuYlYRts1
New in The Atlantic this morning: an extraordinary cover story by @rosehorowitch.
If you’re generally only reading tweets, emails, texts, and machine-generated sentences, you should really, really read this story (and after that, a novel!):

The day you accept uncertainty as a forever thing is the day you stop delaying decisions and just take action knowing you’ll figure it out along the way.
